Lessons

The City of Ottawa offers cross-country ski lessons at Mooney’s Bay. We work with them to provide rental equipment for those taking lessons through the city. Lafleur does not provide the lessons.

Students attending a lesson at Mooney’s Bay can rent ski packages from Lafleur at the rates below. Debit or credit card are accepted for payment. The price of rentals is separate from the cost of the lesson.

If you have registered for a ski instruction program at the Centre and require rental equipment:

Please arrive at our shop 30-45 minutes in advance of class start time. It can be very busy when registration is full.

Alternately, you can come by the rental shop on any week-night, before the start date of your class. If possible, this is the best option.

If you are registered in an 8pm class, you must arrive in advance, since we are closed at 8pm from Monday to Friday.

If your class starts at 11am or 1pm: We will have staff on-site for the first week of classes to ensure everyone is fitted (since we are normally closed during those hours).

After your initial fitting, the equipment will be reserved and ready for pick-up, 30 minutes before the start of each class. You will be able to find it in the pickup area with your name on it.

The equipment remains at our rental shop outside of class times. You do not take it home with you.

Rentals include skis, boots, and poles. Tax is included in all prices.
